a bra that fits, Beautiful Bras, Ewa Michalak, Ewa Michalak SM, Polish bras, SM, unlined bra

Ewa Michalak SM, Unlined Balconette, Sheer Perfection (almost)

I tried my first Ewa Michalak SM several months ago, and while I liked the general shape it was too large.  I found it on Bratabase for a good price in a70F and since I’d had an S (EM’s padded balconette) in 65FF that was only slightly too big I decided to give the 70F a shot so I could at least get an idea of my size.  Again, I don’t like waiting for bras especially unlined ones since I’m quite picky about them and have found very few I love.

The first SM I tried was the SM Czarna Migielka in 70F a beautiful black sheer bra with lace trim.  The photos trick play tricks and make it look like a good fit, but that is because the lace trim is heavy and likes to lay flat, if I pull the top away there is about an inch of empty space.  The shape it gives is round and not too overly centered like I find Cleo to be.  Unfortunately I no longer have this bra so I can’t take any new photos to show how much space I have in the upper portion of the cup.

I got another opportunity to try an SM in a swap for my old Emeline.  It was an older model the SM Cukiereczek  and a 75DD, but the band was altered to about a 65 so it should fit like a 65F.   The bra arrived and it is beautiful, it’s nude with pink embroidery.

There is a a bit empty space in this one but mostly near the gore.  It is a much better fit than the 70F Czarna Migielka. I also feel like I get slightly more lift, at least it looks that way, hard to say for sure since I had already sold the SM Czarna Migielka and I’m judging from photos and my not so great memory.

The gaping at the gore normally wouldn’t concern me, but the straps on this were just too wideset for me and were rather irritating.  I’m guessing this is a result of it originally being a 75 band, and if I got this in a smaller band size the straps would be manageable for me.

As you can see this is a great color for fair skin tones, I’m not sure if photos show how fair skinned I am, but for perspective I usually wear about the lightest shade of foundation.

I really do like the shape and how the cups fit in the SM, but have yet to find my perfect fit in it.  I think if I get a 65F or 70E I should be alright.  I really would like to try the SM Cukiereczek again in a different size, it’s absolutely stunning. Looking at the photos almost makes me wish I had tried longer to tolerate the straps.  If anyone has any SM’s in 65F or 70E let me know I would love to find one that works for me.

Here are some links to other bloggers who have tried the SM.

coco, Comexim, Comexim 3HC unlined, unlined bra

60H Comexim Coco, Great Unlined Bra

Comexim Coco, stock photo from website

I had been eyeing the Coco for quite some time now, but I am quite picky about unlined bras and there isn’t a whole lot of information on Comexim’s unlined bras either.  I finally decided to buy it when I saw it listed on Bratabase for a decent price, and I really didn’t want to order this one direct and wait a month or two before being able to see if I would even like it (super picky about unlined bras).

The bra arrived and I was a bit concerned if it would fit because I usually wear 65H in Comexim 3HC and the same in plunge but with reduced cups.  It also happened to arrive the same day as my period so my boobs are a bit larger.  Since I did get a 60H (being able to get it and not have to wait and worry about it for a month made me not care that it’s a band or so small) I counted on  having to wear this with an extender, it is fairly TTS at least at 28in so at least it isn’t a triple extender situation (not that I try to do that but a recent Comexim order had a 65 that fit like a 55 or small 60).

I grabbed an extender and went ahead and tried it on.

From the front it looks like a perfect fit, and it is quite a good fit.

Comexim Coco 60H

From this angle you can see just the slightest hint of bubbling.

The bra seems to be quite projected especially at the wire more so than the padded 3HC’s.  It is a bit closed off towards the top at the trim, but the very edge of the lace is a bit more forgiving, I think this might be part of where I get some bubbling.  I am fairly high set and even/ slightly FOT, this could be problematic if you are very FOT, but keeping your standard 3HC size could prevent it.

I am actually quite pleased with the shape it gives and that is quite a feat for an unlined bra to acheive.  I’m not a fan of Cleo’s unlined offerings because while they give great cleavage and roundness they bring everything in too much for me. While the Coco does give a round shape it doesn’t push everything so inward either.  I also don’t think it gives quite as much lift and cleavage as a Cleo,  but still provides great shape and support. The clothed photo doesn’t really show this, but it does seem to give a slightly minimized appearance, but this could be what is keeping everything from being pushed so far inward and centered too.  If you are like me and aren’t a fan of most unlined bras especially Cleo’s this might be a good option to try.  (Yes, I know the tank top is inside out, didn’t notice until after I had taken the photos)

I wore the bra for several hours today and it is quite comfortable as far as fit, but the material is a bit scratchy, hopefully that will change with more wash and wear.

Update:

I’ve since worn the bra for 2 full days working 10 hour shifts outside in 80+ degree temperatures.  The band is a bit too snug for me even with an extender towards the end of the day, but again I am more of a 30/32 than a 28 so this shouldn’t be an issue if you are a true 28 band, for the second day I wore this to work in I added an extra extender just to be a bit more comfy.  The material is a bit itchy, but not something I notice during wear for the most part.  I have washed this (by hand of course) and it has softened up just a bit, still not the softest fabric, but it doesn’t bother me.  If I were to order this bra new I would probably get a 65G or 70F since a tight band can be a bit uncomfortable when you get really hot and sweaty and I think my primary use for unlined bras will be when I’m working long shifts outdoors in the summer.  I would love if Comexim would make this bra in a nude as well.

I also noticed that with a bit of a 2nd extender I get a slightly more projected and less minimized look, and am a bit closer set.  I will add some new photos soon.

Tutti Rouge, unlined bra

Tutti Rouge Nichole 30E, 1st Attempt

Tutti Rouge Nichole

Since I first learned of Tutti Rouge, I was dying to try some of their bras.  It took quite sometime before I got the chance to try one out though since ordering direct is quite expensive with shipping to the US (although they do have sales on occasion with discounts for buying multiple bras).  Tutti Rouge makes some extremely cute bras and have their signature touch of heart shaped sliders which are adorable.

I came across the Tutti Rouge Nichole in 30E on Bratabase and swapped for it despite the measurements seeming a bit too big for me.  I know unlined bras can be tricky to get a depth measurement on so I took a gamble on it and hoped it was maybe mis-measured or that it being a bit wider it would make up for some extra depth.

So I received the bra and it was definitely too big for me.  This runs at least a cup and a half big and the band runs a bit large as well.  The band wasn’t a major concern for me since I’m between a 30/32 (comfy underbust being 30.5), and the band stretched to around 31.  The cups on this have a depth 9.5in and a width of 5.4in (my ideal is between 8-9 depending on cup width and cut of the bra).

From the front you can tell it doesn’t really fit, but it’s not obvious just how big it is on me.

Here’s how it looks when I pull the cup away to show how much of it isn’t filled.

Based on what I know about Tutti Rouge from other reviews is that most of their cuts are wide and shallow.  The Nichole is very projected, and it is slightly narrow to average width.  I passed this bra onto to another blogger The Photog’s Brog who is typically a 28FF and the cups on this did fit her, but weren’t quite perfect for her.   She has much better photos so you can get a better appreciation of the colors and detaling. She did alter the band to get a better fit as well.  If you are projected and can work with average width wires this bra could work for you, but size down in the cup a size or two depending on your shape and if you at the smaller end of your band size, size down in the band as well.

I would really love to try the Nichole again, I’m guessing a 30D could possibly work, but I’m not really sure.  I am also absolutely in love with the Nude/Black Nichole I’ve seen that is available now.

Update: I’ve tried Nichole in 30D you can read that review here.

Tutti Rouge is now available on Amazon in current colorways.
